Matrix
A rectangular array of numbers, algebraic symbols, or mathematical functions.
Mean
a value that is calculated by dividing the sum of terms by the number of terms. Also known as an average.
Median
A value within a set of terms where there are an equal number of terms larger and smaller.
Metric System
A decimal system of weights and measures, universally used in science, and the official system of measurement in many countries.
Micrometer 1
A device for measuring very small distances, objects, or angles, especially one based on the rotation of a finely threaded screw, as in relation to a microscope.
Micrometer 2
A unit of length equal to one thousandth (10-3) of a millimeter or one millionth (10-6)of a meter.
Mixed Number
a whole number and a fraction
Example: 5 1/2
Mixed Number

Mode
A value in a set of data that occurs most often.
Multiplication
the process of repeating additions of the same number
Example: 9 x 9 =81
