What is Ohm law current?

The relationship between voltage, current, and resistance should be checked using the ohm law method to find the current by using these values in different formulas given below.

Formula:

Current (I) = Voltage(V)/Resistance (R)

Current (I) = Power (P)/Resistance (R)

Current (I) = Power (P)/Voltage (V)

How to calculate ohm law problems?

Example 1:

Determine the Current if Resistance = 12, and Voltage = 96

Solution

R = 12, V = 96, I =?

Formula:

I = V/R

Steps:

Now put the values in the above formula:

I = 96/12

I = 8 A

Example 2:

Determine the Current if Power = 120, and Voltage = 2

Solution

P = 120, V = 2, I =?

Formula:

I = P/V

Steps:

Now put the values in the above formula:

I = 120/2

I = 60 A

Example 3:

Determine the Current if Power = 5, and Resistance = 150

Solution

R = 30, P = 150, I =?

Formula:

I = P/R

Steps:

Now put the values in the above formula:

I = 150/30

I = 5 A
