Power with Work Calculator

Power with Work Calculator is used to calculate the power, amount of work done, and the time taken to do that work.

What is meant by power?

Power is the rate of doing work per unit of time. Its SI unit is a watt. power is often used to describe the rate at which electrical energy is transferred, used, or dissipated. It is typically measured in watts and is commonly associated with electrical systems, such as the power supplied to homes or the power output of electronic devices.

Formula

Power = watt/time

Examples

Example 1:

An object utilizes 450 J of energy to complete a task in 20 minutes. How much power does it use?

Solution

Step 1:

Work done = W = 450 J,

Time = t = 20 minutes = 20 × 60 = 1200s

Step 2:

P = W/T

Step 3:

P = 450 / 1200

P = 0.375 Watts

Example 2:

An object utilizes 50 watts of power in 25 mints. How much work is done?

Solution

Step 1:

Power = P = 50 W

Time = t = 25 minutes = 25 × 60 = 1500s

Step 2:

P = W/T

P × T = W

Step 3:

W = 50 × 1500

W = 75000 J

Here are a few more examples of power.
